About the company and the project:

An international tech company specializing in the development of advanced security solutions for Linux web servers is looking for a Python Engineer to join its team!

The company’s flagship product protects over 40 million websites worldwide and is trusted by industry giants like Dell, GoDaddy, IBM, Zoom, and others. Founded in 2009 in San Jose, California, the company now brings together over 250 professionals from across Europe and the USA.

You’ll be working on a cutting-edge cybersecurity initiative focused on securing legacy software environments. The platform provides extended security updates for outdated Linux distributions and Python versions, ensuring critical systems remain protected even after official vendor support ends. Your work will help organizations patch vulnerabilities, mitigate emerging threats, and maintain compliance — all without needing to upgrade or replace their infrastructure.

This is a fully remote position with a flexible schedule, giving you the freedom to plan your day and work from anywhere in the world.

Your tasks on the position:

  • Analyze security vulnerabilities in Python frameworks and libraries
  • Backport upstream patches to maintain security of older software versions
  • Research evolving exploitation techniques and threat patterns
  • Extend the scope of supported Python-based software
  • Collaborate with a distributed team of engineers to ensure patch quality and timely releases

What We’re Looking For:

  • Python Developer with 3+ years of experience and a desire to pivot into security
OR
  • Security Researcher with 4+ years of experience and solid Python programming ability

Also required:

  • Experience with testing (unit and integration)
  • Confident Linux user (user/admin level)
  • Upper-intermediate or higher level of English (B2+)
  • Willingness and ability to work on a B2B basis (registered sole proprietor or ready to register one)

Will be a plus:

  • Experience identifying, researching, or reporting vulnerabilities
  • Understanding of the CVE process and vulnerability lifecycle
  • Hands-on work with internal components of open-source libraries

Benefits:

  • 100% remote work with flexible hours
  • Work from anywhere within CET ±2 time zones
  • 24 paid vacation days, 10 public holidays, unlimited paid sick leave
  • Reimbursement for private health insurance
  • Education budget and coworking/gym allowance
  • Opportunity to receive bonuses for innovative, patentable ideas
