The role is not directly building the firewall product but developing internal tools to configure and optimize its use.

Your tasks on the position:
- Maintaining and improving an existing Python heuristics codebase (decision-making logic for traffic blocking)
- Working on automation and metrics related to firewall rule configuration
- Collaborating with security researchers and potentially talk to customers
- Enabling better decisions around rule pushing and traffic control at the customer hosting level
Requirements:
- 5+ years of Python programming experience
- Experience reading, understanding, and maintaining existing code
- Strong Linux knowledge
- Hands-on with CI/CD systems
- Interest in learning security domain if not already experienced (important)
- Exposure to security topics (networking, firewalls, web servers, app-layer security)
- English B2+
Will be an advantage:
- Practical knowledge of security-related concepts (not just working at a "security company”)
- Experience with SQL and Data Analysis
- Experience with network and/or web security
- Experience with ModSec rules and regular expressions
- Experience with Web Application Firewalls
