About the company and the project:
An integrated Group of companies, and one of the key players today in all areas of the Construction industry in Cyprus is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join its team!
The Group also operates in Greece and Egypt, it was founded in 1990 and now has more than 800 employees.
The candidate will work on a power plant that is now in the process of construction. The construction is planned to be finished in the middle or by the end of 2025.
The Power plant will use the latest technology in power generation. It will be a gas fired combined cycle power plant but will also be operated with diesel if necessary. The 260 MW Power Station will contribute to the reduction of electricity cost for end-users and will serve the vision for becoming a leading Energy Supplier in the Island.
You are offered a long-term contract in Limassol with official employment according to CY law.

Your tasks on the position:
- Contributing to engineering deliverable development, such as drawings, reports, and specifications
- Contributing to the development of the mechanical engineering internal team as required
- Supporting the project team by providing technical expertise to the owner, with respect to contract terms, design decisions and vendor / subcontractor selections
- Actively involved in the preparation of enquiries for potential major projects
- Monitoring and supervising mechanical works on site on behalf of the owner
- Taking part in the construction process to have an idea of how the power plant was built
- After the construction is finished, being mostly responsible for Operations/Commissions/Maintenance of the power plant
Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional experience in the field of either power generation or other heavy industrial projects
- Academic background in Mechanical Engineering or in a related field
- Greek C1+
- English B2+
