About the company and the project:

A Cyprus-based investment company that specializes in Asset Management, Custody and Clearing, and Brokerage of securities globally is looking for a Back Office Specialist!

The company’s focus is primarily on fixed income investments, particularly in emerging market Eurobonds. With an extensive network of counterparties in both emerging market jurisdictions and western capital markets, the company provides tailored financial solutions across all aspects of investment services.

Your tasks on the position:

  • Ensure timely and accurate trade settlements using specialized systems
  • Use the SWIFT international messaging system for processing and confirming financial transactions
  • Verify and process transfers, identifying and mitigating risks related to the settlement process
  • Perform daily reconciliation between the company’s internal records and custodians
  • Communicate with counterparties about settlement processes
  • Provide prompt and precise responses to client inquiries, maintaining high client satisfaction
  • Ensure proper and accurate booking in internal systems
  • Comply with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards, including reporting to the appropriate authorities

Requirements:

  • Over 2 years of experience
  • University degree in finance or a related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Strong academic background in quantitative disciplines
  • Skilled in using settlement systems and software (e.g., Euroclear, SWIFT)
  • Fluent in English

Will be an advantage:

  • Relevant certifications such as CySEC and CFA
  • Understanding of accounting, record-keeping, and financial reporting
  • Knowledge of fixed income pricing, trading, and dealing
  • Clearing experience with Euroclear/Clearstream and domestic markets
  • Experience in settling fixed income, equities, and derivatives
  • Relevant industry experience
  • Familiarity with cash transfer processes
  • Experience with various platforms (SWIFT, booking systems, etc.)
